Grenada Citizenship by Investment

Grenada's citizenship by investment program, established in 2013, offers two primary investment routes: a non-refundable contribution of USD 150,000 to the National Transformation Fund (NTF) for a single applicant or USD 200,000 for a family of four, or a qualifying real estate investment of USD 220,000 in an approved project held for 5 years. Grenada is unique among Caribbean citizenship by investment programs in having a bilateral investment treaty with the United States that enables Grenadian citizens to apply for the US E-2 Treaty Investor Visa, which permits long term residency in the USA subject to a qualifying business investment in an American enterprise.

A Grenada passport provides access to over 144 countries and territories including the United Kingdom, all Schengen Area states, and China. Grenada is a CARICOM member state and Grenadian citizens benefit from CARICOM freedom of movement rights across the Caribbean Community. There is no physical presence requirement, no language test, no interview requirement, and processing typically takes 4 to 6 months. Grenada levies no estate tax, no gift tax, and no wealth tax and does not tax income or capital gains arising outside Grenada.

E-2 USA Treaty Advantage

Grenada is the only Caribbean citizenship by investment program nation with a bilateral E-2 treaty with the United States, enabling Grenadian citizens to apply for the US E-2 Treaty Investor Visa and potentially establish long term residency in the USA through a qualifying business investment.

Competitive Investment Threshold

Single applicant NTF contribution of USD 150,000, or USD 220,000 in approved real estate, with the real estate option potentially providing both citizenship and a property asset that can generate rental income during the 5 year holding period.
